Tachograph - Analogue tachographs and chart reading

Introduction

Analogue tachographs are slowly being phased out however there are still a large number of vehicles which have the analogue tachographs. This course looks at analogue tachographs, the chart and recordings made on it. This course can be taken as a standalone or run in conjunction with TG1001 (Drivers Hours) over a 5 day period.

What you will study

How the analogue tachograph works and how it records what the driver is doing.   Analysis of the charts to detect offences and falsifications.

Entry requirements

he examination contains questions on drivers hours it is therefore strongly recomended that students have previously attended  TG1001 (Drivers Hours).

None.

Classroom based with practical inputs.

Teaching and assessment

Your course tutors will help you with your studies during the course. They will mark and comment on your coursework.

Whats the qualification

Successful candidates will be awarded an IMI certificate.

How to register

The course runs twice a year at our South Cerney training centre. Alternatively it can be run in your workplace for up to 12 people. To book contact AiTS.
