Computers and collision analysis is part of De Montfort University FdSc in forensic collision investigation.
There are a number of software applications that can assist the collision investigator. Mathcad is the market leader in engineering calculation software. Unlike proprietary calculating tools and spreadsheets, Mathcad lets you design and document your calculations simultaneously with comprehensive applied math functionality and dynamic, unit-aware calculations.

We assume that you hold a UCPD, City & Guilds or equivalent in forensic road collision investigation. We recommend you have studied Applied and Further maths to get the most from this module.

8weeks distance learning.
A computer with Mathcad and internet access. Note that students on the AiTS/DMU programme can obtain a student copy of Mathcad from Adept Science. A student copy costs approximately £80 (electronic delivery) as compared to the full price of some £1200. You will need your DMU student card to make the purchase
Your course tutors will help you with your studies during the course. They will mark and comment on your coursework assessments.
This module is part of De Montfort university FdSc in forensic road collision investigation.
The FdSc starts in September of each year. Apply through AiTS. If you wish to take this module without registering with the university you may do so however no university accreditation will be give. To take as a standalone check the course calendar for the next presentation and contact AiTS.
