Vehicle dynamics is part of De Montfort University FdSc in forensic collision investigation.
In this module we will be using PC Crash to explore the effects of tyre and suspension modeling. PC Crash is probably the most commonly used collision reconstruction simulation program and is used by collision investigators around the globe. Here in the UK, the program has largely been ignored but is now growing in popularity with defence experts.
Quarter, half and full mathematical vehicle models including tyre and suspension modeling. You will use PC Crash to develop your understanding of how the models effect the handling of a vehicle.
This module is only open to FdSc students, students from an engineering background or students who have studied ENGS1015 Applied maths and ENGS2001 Further maths.

Your joining instructions list any specific requirements. A computer running Windows 8.1 or Windows 10. We would suggest you avoid using a MAC running Windows, we cannot support MAC installations of PC CRASH. AiTS will supply you with a full academic version of the PC Crash software for the duration of this module.
Your tutors will help you with your studies during the module. They will mark and comment on your coursework.
This module is part of De Montfort university FdSc in forensic road collision investigation.
The FdSc starts in September of each year. Apply through AiTS. If you wish to take this module without registering with the university you may do so however no university accreditation will be give.
